Mother's Day Hits Different This Year
Real talk, radical care, and a guide that actually helps you get through treatment.
A note from Allie:
Mother’s Day is a joyous celebration. It’s sometimes clouded with a bit of grief, regret & sorrow. A lot of my friends are celebrating their first ever Mother’s Day, while others are struggling in their fertility journey. And there there are those, like me, holding space for someone who is no longer here.
Since losing my mom, I’ve tried everything to make this day bearable. This year, I’m not trying to bypass it. I’m choosing to remember her: loudly. To honor the way she mothered with grit and humor, even when her body was failing her.
And I’m thinking of all of you: who mother through pain, who grieve privately, who show up to chemo with a blanket and a brave face. This is for you, too.
ps make sure to hug your loved ones extra tight tonight!
❣️ ICYMI: The Chemo Survival Guide is now Live!!
Happy Mother’s Day!!!
Though Mother’s Day is bittersweet for me, I have to acknowledge an interesting story or I guess you could say maybe divine timing? First and foremost, The Chemo Survival Guide is now LIVE! I cannot thank you for all of your support and encouragement. I did not have a specific date of release for this guide, but I do find it interesting that it dropped the week of Mother’s Day. So, to my Mom, here’s to you, I’m thinking of you always 🤍
The Survival Guide is not pinkwashed. It’s not sugarcoated. It’s a brutally honest, beautifully supportive companion for anyone navigating their first 90 days of treatment and or post diagnosis.
What’s inside:
What to actually pack for chemo
Daily rituals that don’t suck
Energy + mood tracking tools
Affordable, non-toxic wellness swaps
Grief space. Humor space. Survival space.
Since I’m still navigating and trying to figure out how best to get the word of The Chemo Club out there - I’ve also released The Chemo Survival Guide on Etsy as well. I would also welcome feedback on this guide - I want all thoughts good, bad & ugly - this will only make me better as a CEO and serve my community with resources of value.
I am excited to share the there are going to be a few extra drops this summer in the form of more resource guides, merchandise and some fun products to lift everyones spirits!!! I cannot wait to share more with all of you!!

🤍 Things Worth Taking Note of This Week 🤍
✨ The rise of the “cancer coach” industrial complex
Not all cancer coaches are created equal. While some offer invaluable support, others are charging thousands for vague empowerment advice and zero clinical experience. It’s important to understand the difference of real support and red flags.
✨ The growing market for grief merch—is it helping or just cashing in?
From “Sad Girl” sweatshirts to $150 grief candles, brands are turning mourning into a marketing opportunity. But is this healing or just commodifying heartbreak? (I’m torn because I see both sides - but let’s be real, corporations will commodify ANYTHING).
✨ Scanxiety is real, and the medical system still doesn’t know what to do with it
The dread before a scan is more than just nerves. It’s a physiological and emotional minefield. Despite how common it is, there are still no formal tools for managing it in most oncology settings. This seriously needs to change!
✨ Sephora just dropped some “clean”: brands for not being… so “clean” (we see you)
Item Beauty: This influencer brand ended its exclusivity with Sephora.
Selfless by Hyum: Another influencer brand that was dropped.
Merit Blush: This product has been removed from the "Clean at Sephora" list!!
Lawless Brow Wax: This product was also removed from the “Clean at Sephora” list
Milk Cooling Water: This product from Milk was dropped.
Saie Super Glowy Gel: This popular product was removed.
Tower 28 Sunny Days: This popular product from cult brand Tower 28 was recently dropped.
Ciele Tint and Protect: Another one bites the dust!
Bare Minerals Powder Foundation: Interesting to see this one removed as well!

🤍 The Chemo Club’s POV 🤍
The world still doesn’t know what to do with women in treatment. We’re either pitied or ignored. Told to “stay strong” or “just stay positive.”
But real survivorship is messy. Exhausting. And sometimes, darkly funny.
That’s why I created The Chemo Club: to give you tools, not platitudes. Resources that meet you in the actual trenches.
And on days like this, I’m reminded that showing up is resistance.
You don’t need to perform strength to be strong.
